Academic Scholarships:
CHF provides scholarships of $1,500 to 3 deserving Ocean
Township High School seniors. Attention will be placed on community service,
and academics as well as financial need. Students must complete an application for consideration. Applications can be picked up at the guidance office and submitted prior to the deadline.

The number of grants given each year and the amount given may vary from year to year and is subject to change.

Community Hope & Dream Scholarship:
Through the Community Hope & Dream Scholarship, Community Hope Fund
provides individual scholarships to Ocean Township, NJ families in need for youth
athletes, artists and performers in grades 3-12. On a case-by-case basis,
Community Hope Fund provides full and partial scholarships, depending on

The Community Hope Fund sponsors an annual Thanksgiving food drive in collaboration with the Township of Ocean Department of Human Services.

Thanks to the generosity of Ocean Township residents and local businesses, the Community Hope Fund’s food serves approximately 150 Township of Ocean families and individuals in need each year.

The Community Hope Fund accepts food and monetary donations during the first two weeks of November to provide baskets of food and turkeys to Township of Ocean families in need.  In addition, volunteers are needed to prepare the baskets while drivers are needed to deliver the food baskets on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.

Please consider volunteering your time to this worthwhile cause.

Individuals, families, companies, and groups looking to share the holiday spirit can coordinate together to adopt a family in Ocean Township or provide cash donations.  (Please note, we do not accept new or unused toys.)

Adopt-a-Family donors have the opportunity of meeting the family or remaining anonymous.  Recipients are needy families of all sizes hoping for some holiday joy in their time of economic struggle.  Please share the blessings of the holidays with another family in your community.

The Community Hope Fund strives to make life a little better for neighbors who are struggling financially due to temporary and/or unexpected life circumstances. Assistance is available for qualifying residents of the Township of Ocean and need is determined on a case by case basis.

CHF provides assistance by:

• Organizing supply drives for items such as food, holiday gifts, and clothing.
• Providing limited emergency assistance.
• Giving grocery or general merchandise gift cards.
