Through the Community Hope & Dream Scholarship, Community Hope Fund provides individual scholarships to Ocean Township, NJ families in need for youth athletes, artists and performers in grades 3-12. On a case-by-case basis, Community Hope Fund provides full and partial scholarships, depending on qualification.

What are the qualification criteria for an individual scholarship?
We are focused on Ocean Township, NJ families that lack sufficient resources to pay for youth sports, fine arts programs or performing arts. Our qualification criteria include, but are not limited to, following the most recent U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Estimated State Median Income by Household Size as guidelines to determine qualification for a grant. Community Hope Fund reserves the right to make exceptions to eligibility guidelines for reasonable extenuating circumstances.

Are there limitations to individual grants?
- A family may apply once a year for each child for travel, recreational sports, fine art programs or performing arts programs.
- Community Hope Fund reserves the right to cap total annual scholarship distributions. An application is required for each scholarship and for each child.
- Confidential scholarship applications are addressed on a need basis as funds are available. Funds are limited and completion of an application does not guarantee a grant
Application Process:
- Fill out and submit the Community Hope & Dream Scholarship application online or fill out a printable form.
- A member of Community Hope Fund will review your application and contact you to advise if further information (including financial) is needed.
- Depending on the scholarship awarded, Community Hope Fund will pay registration and all or partial associated fees directly to the sports, fine arts or performing arts program.
- We generally require scholarship applications to be submitted at least 30 days prior to the program’s registration deadline.
